We offer multiple orchestration signals that you can use to manage your bots in the long and short term.
They are all designed for different use cases.
In this article we provide more insights on how do they perform and which bots might benefit more from each one.
The ORC signals presented here all use the orchestration feature provided by Bot Assistant (BA) using BAQL language.
ORIG and ST still support legacy google forms to subscribe bots to the signal. Once we fully support ORC signals via BA we will cease to support ORC signals via Google forms. STHA2H, HIVE1H and TEST only are supported via BA.
If you have any questions use the #bot-orchestrator channel on Discord.

Original ORC (ORIG)
This orchestrator is the original one.
It was introduced with a big goal: to catch long/medium term tops and bottoms and use that information to STOP, START and/or SELL at market price your bot deals.
I personally only use it to STOP my riskier bots, although looking back in time there were plenty of instances where I wished I actually sold all at market price. Like in the 2021 ATH BTC price and at 48K in the beginning of 2022.
There can be false positives both for buy and sell signal. Don’t assume this signal is 100% accurate cause there’s no way you can use technicals to predict the future with full certainty. We play with probabilities and that’s all we have which is still a massive difference between having and not having the original ORC.
Many users have loved having reacted to this signal dodging massive dumps and many people exited the market too early with it.
You can check out the chart below where I have circled the TOP performing signals from ORIG orchestrator.
We use Victoria, MC, future rates, Hive, QFL and many other signals to spot these events. We change settings in different market seasons. We don’t share the parameters we use but you are welcome to use it with your bots.

I think all long bots can benefit from ORIG: I think stopping the long bots, moderate and riskier ones is a great idea.
Bots with more than 30% max dev potentially you can consider to not use the signal if your intent is to actually fill the bags when the price dump. Bots like golden pocket, Martyn fit in that group.
Most BUY signal false positives occur when we transition from BEAR to BULL market. You can see in July 2021 how many sell signals where over reacting to the price pumping fast. Those same technicals now in 2022 have been spot on.
SuperTrend ORC (ST)
This was the second addition to the ORC offering.
It uses SuperTrend on the 1 hour.
It skips BUY signals if the signal is below the 100 EMA.
It’s a great addition to exit the market in anticipation to any exaggerated dump.
SuperTrend confirms the 1h trend, it doesn’t forecast it. This means that more aggressive bots like Bebek will still catch red bags.
I really like using this signal with my moderate and aggressive bots during the bear market. It does not fully prevent all red bags but it reduces them considerably.
You can see the chart of this signal live:
SuperTrend Heikin Ashi candles 2H ORC (STHA2H)
This ORC signal is intended to be a slower and less reactive version of ST.
It will fire less often and I think it can protect better some more aggressive bots like Serpil.
It might take in some cases a bit longer to fire the SELL compared to ST because it uses 2H timeframe and HA candles.
This ORC signal does not use the 100 EMA filter like ST does.

SuperTrend DXY (STDXY)
Crypto and in general all risk on assets tend to counter trend the dollar index DXY.
Movements on smaller timeframe are not necessarily followed by crypto but from the 4H and daily timeframes the counter trend becomes evident.
This ORC offers 4H timeframe. It sends a BUY when DXY is in uptrend and a SELL when it’s in a downtrend. This ORC is meant to be used in the opposite way ST and STHA2H is used. Example: you might want to start a bot when STDXY sells.

SuperTrend TOTAL3 (STT3, STT34H)
๐ now 4H timeframe also supported!
We know that most alt coins follow what BTC does. But there are a few exceptions where we might want to take advantage of following the trend of ALTs directly instead of the trend of BTC itself:
- When BTC pumps heavy ALTs react correcting in many cases. If we are following ST on BTC that can cause some losses or red bags. This is because in such scenario BTC ST will fire a BUY, but at the same time ALTs would correct.
- When BTC is going sideways ALTs tend to run bullish. In these scenarios ST from BTC might take some time to fire BUY. Following ST on TOTAL3 might provide some earlier entries.
TOTAL3 is an index that tracks all coins in crypto excluding BTC and ETH. It provides a pretty good representation of what ALTs are doing. We could have used TOTAL2 which includes ETH, but since the ETH dominance has been growing too much and in many cases it can take a different direction compared to the rest of the alts.
We selected the 1H timeframe.

STT34H uses an optimised version of SuperTrend indicator which means that the parameters are fluctuating based on the results of the optimisation.
SuperTrend OTHERS (OTH4H)
Others includes all Altcoins except for the top 10 market cap. We use an optimised version of SuperTrend that continues looks for the best parameters to maximise profits.

PNR TOTAL3 (PNRT3)
PNR filter is an indicator that uses statistics to find areas of reversal.
In this ORC signal we apply it to two symbols: TOTAL3 and OTHERS in the one hour timeframe.
The settings will remain private and might change based on the market status.
Although the PNRT3 ORC signal is calibrated to spot most short term reversals you should expect some fake outs and “too early” signals. The statistics behind the PNR indicator will flag moves that are 99% or more away from the norm based on the medium term past price action which leaves a small fraction of occurrences where the price will continue moving against you even after the signal.
You must always manage rather than neglect these risks by setting stop losses, DCA-ing your way out or using any of your preferred methods for this.

Bullish and bearish oscillator (BULLOSC & BEAROSC)
ST and STHA2H ORC signals offer a “black & white” trend experience: it’s either an uptrend or a downtrend.
OSC is uses the SuperTrend oscillator to identify when the trend is strong and sends a BUY signal when it is, and a SELL signal when it’s not.
It tends to trigger a BUY before ST or STHSA2H does proving some early entries. It also tends to exit before the rest. False positives are occasional and need to be risk managed properly. Use the chart link below to see a TradingView comparison of the 3 ORCs using SuperTrend.
You can also use Gavin’s backtester to measure the performance of each ORC signal with your own strategy. This ORC signal is available only to VIP and higher tier members.

MarketCipher divergences (MC1D, MC4H, MC1H, MC15M)
Divergence signals can help identifying trend reversal areas with good accuracy.
The higher the timeframe the higher the accuracy but the least frequency of the signals.
Also the higher the timeframe the larger the expectation for the size of the reversal move.
For example if we are in an uptrend and we receive a SELL from MC1D we should expect a pull back larger than if we only get a SELL MC15M. But also the MC1D should take longer to play out compared to the MC15M.
As with any other signal MC ORC signals can be a fake out. And it’s worth mentioning than false positives tend to become very frequent when there’s any explosive move. For example, if BTC is crashing heavy you should expect many consecutive BUY signals and the initial ones will be particularly too early. In this sense, ST or STHA2H might provide a more conservative entry but in some cases one that is also too late.
Right before a crash you will probably receive a SELL MC signals in multiple timeframes. Before a pump you might also expect some BUY MC signals.
Don’t use these signals without getting to know them better first in the chart. Don’t build false expectations and prove they work good with your strategy in paper trading before using them with any amount of real funds.
I personally like to use this ORC in combination with DCA bots that can tolerate being wrong a number of times and still stay in green in the long run. I also like the idea of adding these signals to exit the market when I’m not sure when its the best time to exit.

Hive ORC (HIVE1H, HIVE4H, HIVE1D)
In the bear market Hive 1H SELL signals have been outstandingly accurate (at least until May 2022). Every time it has fired BTC then dumps in a few hours or a day.
Hive uses multiple divergences which are one of the best ways to forecast price action.
Nothing is 100% accurate so if we move into a bull market I would expect the situation to flip upside: bull signals will turn very accurate and bear signals will start giving more false positives.
This orchestrator is not balanced which means that there isn’t one buy for each sell signal.
We now also support Hive 4H and Hive 1D.

BTC AI ORC (AI1H, AI2H, AI4H)
This TradingView indicator uses the Lorentzian Classification to forecast changes in the market trend in the 1, 2 and 4 hours.
It behaves very differently from trend ORCs like ST or STHA2h since it intends to be a “predicting” indicator rather than a trend confirmation one.
It’s behaviour seems to be close the gap between divergences and trend followers. Divergences sometimes trigger expecting a trend change which actually happens later or never. This AI indicator attempts to use previous data to predict using statistics what could be the next move.
Find below the performance of a few months of each version.

TOTAL2 AI ORC (T2AI1H, T2AI2H, T2AI4H)
This is the same as BTC AI ORC but applied to TOTAL2. It can work better for scalping ALTs.
BTC can sometimes be during a heavy move to the upside and ALTs then will be lagging behind. In those cases TOTAL2 can provide a better option. Always observe your charts and decide what works best for your strategy.
RSI ratio Longs/Shorts 1H ORC (RSIRALS)
This indicator uses data from Bitfimex longs and shorts to identify areas where the risk of dump or pump increases significantly. For example, areas where we are very overbought and shorts start taking over the market.
In many occasions it can behave as a leading indicator similar to what the Hive offers with divergences. Supertrend does the opposite: confirms a new trend direction once it has already changed. RSIRALS and HIVE1H both can in many cases anticipate it.
As mentioned in the video featuring this indicator, there can be false positives. Typically when there’s an unexpected short or long squeeze. Sometimes many longs enter the market and the price if oversold, and still the bears win. It’s low likely but it DOES happen so be prepared for a few every now and then.
This orchestrator is not balanced which means that there isn’t one buy for each sell signal. Right after getting a buy you might get another buy, and the exact same with sell signals.
A signal can persist valid for multiple candles so you might get the same signal firing multiple consecutive candles.
Weekend ORC (WE)
This is a “utility” orchestrator. Using UTC timezone it will send a SELL when the weekend starts and a buy when it ends on Monday at 0:00 hrs
There are plenty of strategies that can potentially benefit from not trading over the unpredictable volatility of weekends. Of course there are other ones that are especially designed for weekends.
The good news is that just like with all our ORC signals you can still use the BUY and SELL triggered to take any action you decide to use: start/ stop bots, sell at market price, cancel deals.
Altcoin Season ORC (ALTS, BTCS)
This ORC signal is triggered when the Altcoin Season Index enters or exists “altcoin season” or “bitcoin season”. This ORC does not trigger a BUY or a SELL like most of the other ORC signals, instead it triggers an IN and an OUT signal which corresponds when the index enters or exits either altcoin or bitcoin season.
Fear & Greed index ORC (FEAR, EFEAR, GREED, EGREED)
This ORC is triggered when the G&F index enters the areas Fear, Extreme Fear, Greed and Extreme Greed.
Just like the altcoin season ORC this one does not trigger any BUY or SELL, instead it triggers a IN or OUT signal which corresponds with the times when the F&G index enters or exits each of the areas.
Test ORC (TEST)
We made this ORC signal available so you can test the BotAssistant setup is actually working with your bots.
It will alternate a BUY and SELL every 10 minutes.

Balanced means that for each BUY is succeeded by a SELL.
Persistent means that a signal can fire persistently the same signal during consecutive candles in the chart.
False positives means that there’s always a chance the signal can be wrong.
Known limitations
You can combine any set of the available ORC signals presented in this document but be aware that non of these signals is aware of the other signals so there can be some scenarios where you might get an unexpected behaviour caused by this limitation.
Example: One of the signals that you subscribed triggers a SELL followed by another signal that triggers a BUY. Your bot will stopped and then go back on.
There is no priority when this happens: whichever signal arrives to the bot the bot will attempt to execute even if that doesn’t make sense from the trading perspective. So be aware of this limitation when you combine them.
